On February 19, 2012, Mohamed Hassan, a 21-year-old man, was shot and killed in Boston's South End. The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. in Blackstone Square, an area known for its community activity. Hassan, also known by his nicknames "Humz" and "Hum Greazy," became the third homicide victim in Boston that year.
