Quinton Jackson, a 14-year-old African American male, was tragically stabbed to death on April 26, 2007, at his home in Chicago, Illinois. Quinton was a student at Avalon Park Elementary School and was well-liked by his peers and teachers. His death was part of a larger wave of violence that claimed the lives of 27 Chicago Public Schools students that year. The brutal nature of his murder left a deep impact on his school community, with students and teachers struggling to cope with the loss.
