Dashawn Johnson, an 18-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 24, 2014, in Chicago, IL. The incident occurred in the South Side’s Brainerd neighborhood, where Johnson was shot in the jaw. He managed to walk into a nearby home around 7:25 p.m., indicating he had been shot, before collapsing shortly after.
