Eugene Lopez Coleman, a 20-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on July 23, 2014, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Born on March 3, 1994, in Springfield, Illinois, Eugene was the son of Evie and Ronald Smiley. He attended high school in Cahokia, Illinois, and was known for his vibrant personality and strong community ties.
