Darnell J. Jefferson, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2014, in East St. Louis, Illinois. The young man was fatally shot, and his death has been a source of grief for his family and community. Darnell's passing was marked by a funeral service held at Light of Christ Church in East St. Louis, followed by his burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Millstadt.
