Juan Ortiz, a 44-year-old Hispanic male from Chicago, IL, was tragically shot to death on December 12, 2014, in his home in Chicago Heights. Ortiz was in his kitchen washing dishes when he was gunned down. The circumstances surrounding his death were initially unclear, and it was not immediately known if he was the intended target of the shooting.
