Israel C. Pena, a 20-year-old male from Rockford, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed on January 29, 2015, in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when officers found Pena unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest in the 1200 block of West 32nd Street. Despite immediate efforts, Pena was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.
