Deveion Wilder, a 19-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting on July 27, 2022, in the Near West Side neighborhood of Chicago. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. while Deveion was outside in the 2500 block of West Monroe Street. According to reports, a witness heard gunshots and saw a car speeding away from the scene. Deveion was shot in the face and was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
