In the winter of 2014, a beloved member of the Boston community, 34-year-old Ricky McKinney, an African-American male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred on the evening of January 14, 2014, shortly before 6:00 PM, inside the barbershop on Tremont Street where he worked.
