On August 12, 2010, 30-year-old David Martins was fatally shot in front of a home on Adams Street, near Hemenway Park in Dorchester, Boston. Police responded to reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. and discovered two men with gunshot wounds. While Martins was critically injured and later died at Boston Medical Center, the other victim, a teenager, survived despite multiple gunshot wounds.
