On the evening of August 12, 2010, chaos erupted in a Dorchester neighborhood when gunfire shattered the night. David Martins, a 30-year-old Hispanic/Latino male, was shot in front of a residence on Adams Street, near Hemenway Park. Responding to the call at approximately 9:30 p.m., Boston police officers discovered a grim scene. Two individuals had been struck by bullets.
