Alecxis Martinez, a 21-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically shot and killed on May 16, 2015, in Northlake, Illinois. The incident occurred near his home on the 400 block of South 44th Avenue. Martinez was pronounced dead at 11:09 p.m. at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park. An autopsy conducted by the Cook County medical examiner's office determined that Martinez died from a gunshot wound to his flank, and his death was ruled a homicide.
