On July 24, 2015, 17-year-old Donnell Morrison, a male resident of the 1300 block of South Kostner Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, was fatally shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. when Morrison was standing on the 1200 block of South Kolin Avenue. A black minivan pulled up, and someone fired a shot from the vehicle, striking Morrison in the back.
