Kortney Blakes, a 23-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 26, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred at Horan Park on the city's West Side, where a shooting took place around 10:36 a.m. Blakes was shot in the head and was immediately transported to Stroger Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 2:07 p.m. that same day. Blakes resided in the 3200 block of West Polk Street.
