Courtney Caldwell, a 25-year-old African American man, was tragically shot to death on September 26, 2015, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred during an argument inside an apartment located in the 700 block of East 47th Street in the Bronzeville neighborhood. According to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Caldwell was shot three times and was subsequently taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:43 p.m. on the same day.
