Christopher Kelly Purcell, a 58-year-old male from Chicago, IL, died on October 25, 2016, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in his West Town apartment, where he had barricaded himself and his 84-year-old mother, Loretta Purcell, for nearly five hours. The standoff with the SWAT team ended with both individuals found dead inside the apartment. Loretta Purcell, who was 84 years old, was found with multiple sharp force injuries, and her death was ruled a homicide. ...
