Christopher Kelly Purcell, a 58-year-old male from Chicago, IL, died on October 25, 2016, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in his West Town apartment, where he had barricaded himself and his 84-year-old mother, Loretta Purcell, for nearly five hours. The standoff with the SWAT team ended with both individuals found dead inside the apartment.
