Jamirio Martin, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on July 25, 2019, in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago. According to the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Martin sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head, neck, and upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
