Kaylee Nicole Jacob, a 16-year-old girl from Effingham, Illinois, tragically passed away on October 18, 2015. Kaylee, who was a junior at Effingham High School, was pronounced dead at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham after being shot on the south side of the city. The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on South Banker Street, where she sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
