Ellie Neeley, a 10-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on July 2, 2016, in Hazel Crest, Illinois. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside her home, along with her father, 39-year-old Dionus Neely, and her 3-year-old sister, India Neely. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2:21 a.m., when police responded to a call of shots fired.
