Eric M. Lavaly, a 22-year-old male, tragically lost his life on July 20, 2016, in Greenup, Illinois. The circumstances surrounding his death were deeply troubling and involved a series of criminal activities. Lavaly was at the home of Trenton Adamson in Greenup when a plan to rob Kyle Covault of Indianapolis went awry. Covault had arrived at Adamson's house to conduct a drug deal, but a scuffle broke out, leading to shots being fired. Lavaly was killed in the exchange, and Covault was wounded.
