Lonnell Holmes, a 24-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on October 22, 2017, in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Holmes was found with gunshot wounds to the head and lower back. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of North Lavergne Avenue.
