Death by Force

On November 5, 2016, 54-year-old African American woman Cynthia D. Richardson was found fatally shot in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood. At approximately 1:09 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 5900 block of South Winchester Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered Ms. Richardson lying on the lawn outside her residence, having sustained a gunshot wound to the neck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
