Darius Minter, a 36-year-old African American man from Midlothian, IL, tragically lost his life on December 21, 2016. He was fatally shot while sitting in his car in an apartment complex parking lot at 147th Street and Turner Avenue. Minter was warming up his vehicle to drive his wife to work when the incident occurred. Witnesses reported hearing gunfire at around 7 a.m., and Minter was pronounced dead at the scene.
