In the early hours of July 5, 2017, the life of Eric Jackson, a 29-year-old African-American man, was tragically cut short on Homestead Street in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood. At approximately 2:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a person shot and discovered Jackson lying in the street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
