Additionally, four others, including Savon Cummings, Desmond Eggleston, Gerrodo Forest, and a juvenile, were charged with obstructing justice in connection with the attempted robbery and murder of Jackson.
The court proceedings revealed that the group had gathered on Conger Avenue on the day of the incident and discussed robbing Jackson. During the robbery attempt, Russell allegedly tried to grab Jackson's backpack, leading to a struggle. Jackson attempted to flee, but Wells allegedly shot him, resulting in his death. Wells was later sentenced to 70 years in prison for his role in the botched robbery and murder.
