Jared Peters, an 18-year-old male from Aurora, Illinois, passed away on January 23, 2017. His death was determined to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred at a home on the 600 block of South Gladstone Avenue in unincorporated Aurora Township. Jared Peters was found dead at the scene by sheriff's deputies who were dispatched following a report of a shooting inside the house.
