Nakieka Taylor, a 30-year-old woman from Roxbury, was tragically killed on August 20, 2017, in what appears to have been a random act of violence. Taylor, known affectionately as "Kiki" to her family and friends, was sitting in the backyard of her family’s home on Walnut Avenue when gunshots rang out at around 9:30 p.m. Taylor was struck by a bullet and later died from her injuries.
