Marquis Pritchett, a 36-year-old African American man, was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in an alley in Maywood, Illinois, on May 12, 2017. Officers responded to a call at 1:51 a.m. and discovered Pritchett covered in blood and unable to speak. He was immediately transported to Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 3:39 a.m. An autopsy conducted by the Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed that Pritchett died from a gunshot wound to the chest, and ...
