Death by Force

Javon M. Gibson, a 20-year-old African American male from Cahokia, Illinois, was tragically shot and killed in the early morning hours of December 1, 2017. The incident occurred in the 2000 Block of Doris Avenue in Cahokia. At approximately 6:57 am, Cahokia police officers responded to a report of a man down near the I-255 overpass. Upon arrival, they found Javon Gibson unconscious and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
