Steven Ward, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on December 2, 2017, in River Forest, Illinois. The incident occurred late at night when Steven Ward and a 35-year-old woman were stopped at a red light in their SUV at the intersection of North and Harlem Avenues. A sedan pulled up behind their vehicle, and a suspect, described as a black male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, exited the sedan and approached Ward's SUV.
