David Lee Anderson, an 11-year-old African American boy from East Chicago, Indiana, tragically lost his life on May 5, 2018. David was a bright and exceptional student at Washington Elementary School, known for his academic achievements and his passion for basketball. He was a beloved member of his community, often seen practicing at the Nunez Park basketball court, where he dreamed of making it to the NBA.
