Lonnie Smith, a 47-year-old African American man, was tragically shot and killed on July 26, 2018, while sitting on his mother's front porch in Chicago, Illinois. Lonnie was known as a dedicated family man who had worked at his job for over 20 years, taking pride in providing for his family and earning an honest living. His untimely death left his family and community in shock and mourning.
