Anton L. Shaw, a 15-year-old African American boy, was tragically shot to death on October 13, 2018, in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. He was found with a gunshot wound to his face in the 1100 block of North Long Avenue just after 11 p.m. that night. Shaw, who was living with his grandmother to attend Foreman College and Career Academy, was a freshman basketball player with dreams of becoming a designer. His life was cut short before he could play his first game.
