That night, a seemingly minor traffic dispute in the Charles Village neighborhood would abruptly and tragically end his journey. The male driver of a dark-colored car became engaged in a heated argument with Mustafa, a conflict that escalated with shocking speed.
The verbal altercation took a fatal turn when Mustafa threw a cup of coffee at the other driver. In response, the unidentified man pulled out a gun and fired a single shot, striking Mustafa in the head. The cab, with a blind passenger in the back who was thankfully unharmed, was plunged into chaos. The passenger later provided an account of the harrowing final moments to the police, becoming a key witness in the investigation that followed.
Immediately after the shooting, the dark-colored car fled the scene, leaving behind a community in shock and a family devastated by the senseless act of violence.
