Jennifer was born on August 27, 1981, in Elgin, Illinois, to Aubrey Jones and Lydia “Gail” Brown. She was a beloved mother, daughter, and sister, known for her kind and loving nature. She was employed at JL Clark Corporation in Rockford and was remembered fondly by her colleagues and friends.
On the night of November 11, 2018, Jennifer Lynn Jones was involved in a fatal incident at a Citgo gas station on Auburn Street in Rockford. The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. when Jennifer was shot in the chest. Despite being alive when the police arrived, she succumbed to her injuries at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Another victim, a 25-year-old man, was also shot during the incident and later arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
