On a summer day in Baltimore, what began as just another Thursday in June 2007 ended in tragedy for 24-year-old George Wilson. An African American man, Wilson became a victim of the city's ongoing violence when he was shot in the 3100 block of Ellerslie Avenue. The incident, which occurred around 12:20 p.m. on June 21, 2007, left him with life-threatening injuries. Emergency services responded to the scene and transported him to the renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital for medical attention.
