Tamara Clayton-Shelton, a 55-year-old African American woman from Country Club Hills, Illinois, was tragically killed on February 4, 2019. She was a dedicated U.S. postal worker who had been with the Postal Service since 1993. On the night of her death, Tamara was driving to work on Interstate 57 near Oak Forest when she was fatally shot. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the inbound lanes near Cicero Avenue.
