Deontae Davenport, a 23-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed during a robbery on February 6, 2019, in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Pulaski Road. Davenport was shot in the head and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, where he was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. He lived in the same neighborhood where the shooting took place.
