On February 17, 2019, 47-year-old African American female Tamela D. Sullivan was found fatally shot in her home in Calumet Park, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the 1100 block of West 127th Place shortly before 1 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Tamela and her 26-year-old son, Raynard Sullivan, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
