Anthony L. Burgess, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on April 2, 2019, in Alton, Illinois. The incident occurred just after midnight in the 3100 block of Paul Street. Responding to reports of gunfire, police found Burgess lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to a local hospital, Burgess succumbed to his injuries.
