Edward James, a 22-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on April 15, 2019, in Skokie, Illinois. Edward was a college student at East-West University, studying to become an engineer. He was the oldest of five siblings and was known for his dedication to his studies and work. On the night of the incident, Edward was returning home from work when he was shot multiple times in the 4700 block of Main Street. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
