Lamario Birge, a 36-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on May 16, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois. He was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle in the 2800 block of East 79th Street around 2:17 a.m. by officers responding to a ShotSpotter alert. Lamario had been shot twice in the chest and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He resided in the South Deering neighborhood of Chicago.
