Derrick Howard, a 19-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on May 22, 2019, in a drive-by shooting in the Gresham neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. while Derrick and a 26-year-old man were seated in a vehicle in the 8000 block of South Emerald Avenue.
