Kierra Jones, a 23-year-old African American woman, was tragically shot to death on June 13, 2019, in Harvey, Illinois. The incident occurred during a funeral repast at a motorcycle club near 153rd and Center Avenue. According to the Cook County medical examiner’s office, Jones was shot in the back and was pronounced dead at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey at 10:19 p.m. An autopsy confirmed that she died from the gunshot wound, and her death was ruled a homicide.
