Jumiah Perkins, a 47-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on August 29, 2019, in the Roseland neighborhood of Chicago, IL. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while Perkins was standing on a sidewalk in the 10500 block of South Wabash Avenue. According to reports, two individuals approached Perkins, and one of them pulled out a handgun, firing multiple shots. Perkins was struck in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
