Dovantae Jackson, a 15-year-old African American boy, was tragically killed on September 1, 2019, in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 2:19 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Washington Boulevard.
