Cedric Montez Gooden, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically murdered on September 23, 2019, in East St. Louis, Illinois. Known by his stage name "Cold Kase," Cedric was a local rapper who had garnered a following in his community. On the night of his death, Cedric was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Mobil Gas Mart located at 8301 State Street. He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Belleville.
