Taiveyon, affectionately known as "Tai," was a beloved son, grandson, and friend. He was born on April 28, 1999, to parents Lakeisha Renee Victorian and Robert Jones II. Taiveyon was an active member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Waukegan, Illinois, where he participated in the youth ministry.
He was also a passionate football player, having played throughout his high school years at Zion Benton Township High School and later at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minnesota. At the time of his death, Taiveyon was employed at an Amazon Fulfillment Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
On the night of his death, Taiveyon attended a house party in Round Lake Park. The gathering, which initially started as a small celebration, quickly grew to over 100 attendees. As the party swelled, the hosts began turning people away. Amidst the chaos, at least one adult male entered the home and opened fire into the crowd. Taiveyon was shot and killed, and three other individuals were injured in the incident.
