recently graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School and was described by his family as a sweet, respectful young man with a passion for music and aspirations of a rap career. He had been working as a truck driver for BNSF Railway in Elwood since his graduation. On the day of the incident, Henderson had reportedly been robbed of $150 by two individuals inside the Longwood Drive home, which was known as a "party house." He left the residence but returned later in an attempt to retrieve his money. During this time, a masked individual entered the home and shot Henderson twice in the chest before fleeing the scene.
The Glenwood police, in collaboration with the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff's Office and the St. John, Indiana Police Department, made an arrest in connection with Henderson's death on November 4, 2019. The suspect, a juvenile, was apprehended and held in Indiana awaiting extradition. The authorities indicated that the shooting was the result of an altercation, but further details about the motive and the relationship between Henderson and the suspect were not disclosed.
