Angie Monroy, a 16-year-old girl from Chicago, IL, tragically lost her life on December 14, 2019. Angie was walking home from her job at a clothing store in the Little Village neighborhood when she was shot in the head. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on South Rockwell Street. Angie was an unintended target of a gang conflict, according to police. She was a junior at Benito Juarez Community Academy and was known for her involvement in cheerleading and various sports.
