On October 18, 2014, 17-year-old Breon Edward Coleman was found fatally shot in the 800 block of Mead Avenue in West Oakland, California. The incident occurred around 2:00 AM. Breon, who did not live in the area, was shot while in a neighborhood unfamiliar to him. The reason for his presence in that neighborhood at such a late hour remains unclear, and there are no known suspects or motives for the crime.
